Informal gardens merging seamlessly with the surrounding countryside, real log fires in the winter months and a traditional welcome, Skelwith bridge Hotel really is “your home away from home” The hotel boasts 28 bedrooms, all en-suite and all retaining the character of the original building. We are pleased to offer single, twin, double and king sized rooms available for bed and breakfast or dinner bed and breakfast at fantastically affordable prices all year round. We welcome a whole host of families with children young and old, couples, singles and four legged friends too!
The hotel is a fell walkers paradise with many varied easy and more strenuous walks from our doorstep! We even have a drying room available for those wet days . . . not that we have too many of those in The Lakes!
Our restaurant serves breakfast and dinner each day and welcomes residents and non-residents alike.
Breakfast is served from 800am to 930am each day, (830am to 1000am on Sundays and bank holidays,) with dinner being served from 630pm to 900pm daily. We serve a hearty full Cumbrian breakfast with tea, coffee, toast, juices, fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereals for just £11 per person … so set yourself up for a day on the fells with one of our delicious breakfasts.
Our evening restaurant menu changes often with Head Chef gabor and his brigade drawing on local produce and seasonality wherever possible.
We offer a range of Jennings real ales as well as a comprehensive wine list & spirit range. We are proud that we have our very own ale, in conjunction with Jennings Castle Brewery, Cockermouth we now serve “The Talbot Tipple” at 3.6% this EPA is ideal for relaxing on a sunny day watching the world go by or for re-fuelling after a hard days slog on the fells!”
