There are at least two requirements of a guidebook. One is the functionality of navigating the route; the other is to make the walk more enjoyable and give information on accommodation, geology, local history, natural history, etc. We have greatly improved our Ramblefest-Amazon store and made it very easy to find the books and maps required for your walk. We advise buying two different guidebooks, if available; one will complement the other in terms of route description, back-up info, photographs and diagrams, etc., and the additional cost is little compared to the cost of the walk.
We have made it very easy to find the books and maps required for your walk.
The Wealdway guidebooks are all out of print, but we include them in our display because they can be sourced through third-parties via Amazon.
Contact Kent County Council on 0845 345 0210 or via their Website. The more people contact them, the more chance there is to have them republish one of the guidebooks.
Luckily, the Wealdway is marked by name on the OS maps.
Ordnance Survey provide the service of online maps, which you can use on all your devices. Costs around £20 – £25 per year for all maps across the UK for a year. Great value. The Wealdway path is marked by name on all the “Explorer” maps. Click on the link:

For those who prefer physical maps, we display the Ordnance Survey “Explorer” maps at 1:25,000 scale which cover the route. We show the standard quality, although the all-weather type is also available. The path is marked by name on all the maps.
