“The Dalesman is centrally situated in the picturesque, market town of Sedbergh. The town itself is dominated by the renowned Public school, and there are idyllic riverside walks and strolls, or for the more energetic fellside rambling close by.
The Dalesman Country Inn enjoys the privilege of being a Freehouse and we try and show this through our ever changing range of cask ales , wines and spirits. We have five cask ale pumps which we change as often as possible but are asked to keep people’s favourites such as Timothy Taylor , Old Speckled Hen , Black Sheep and Tunnel Vision whilst mixing other beers in such as Hobgoblin, Deuchars, Cross Bay, Wainwright, Crafty devil, Dizzy blonde, and Cumbrian Way.
Our food menu changes with the seasons and where possible all ingredients are sourced locally such as our lamb from Hebblethwaite – less than two miles away – we make our own ice cream and even make our own fudge and toffee for sale and biscuits for our guests in the bedrooms.”
