SAXON SHORE WAY: 20¾ MILES FROM GRAVESEND

The best way from the North Downs Way at Medway Bridge to the centre of Rochester is to use part of the Medway Valley Walk [map]

Those walking the Saxon Shore Way towards Iwade, Faversham, etc can cut out around three miles of Medway Towns pavement walking by getting the train from Rochester to Gillingham (the SSW passes right by Gillingham station).
