Ancaster
103¼ MILES ALONG THE VIKING WAY FROM BARTON
We have included Ancaster despite it being 1¾ miles off the Viking Way because it has a rail station, allowing some walkers who prefer to do their long-distance walk in separate stages.
Ancaster has camping facilities, a restaurant, and two pubs, one of which serves bar meals.
The most straightforward way of getting to Ancaster from the Viking Way is to ignore the Viking Way heading West 1¾ miles south of Byards Leap, and merely continue for another 1¾ miles down Ermine Street into Ancaster.
