Whitchurch is roughly two miles south-east from Grindley Brook, the end point of the northern extension of the Shropshire Way and the start of the South Cheshire Way. It has a variety of services, including a rail station.

Bus Services at Wem Train Station connect to several locations on the Shropshire Way: Astley, Grindley Brook, Grinshill, Hadnall, Shrewsbury, Stanton upon Hine Heath and Whitchurch.
