Snake Pass
8¾ MILES ALONG THE PENNINE WAY FROM EDALE, PLUS 2½ MILES OFF ROUTE
For Pennine Way walkers who do not wish to walk to Crowden in one day, there is the option of walking 2½ miles east along the A57 to the Snake Pass Inn. An alternative to pounding the road is to use the paths north of the road, which the Inn Way takes. It must be remembered those 2½ miles need to be walked again the following morning.

The alternative option is to head west along the A57 to Glossop.
There is a very limited bus service along the A57.
