DALES WAY: 38¼ MILES FROM ILKLEY, PLUS 1½ MILES OFF ROUTE
RIBBLE WAY: 66 MILES FROM LONGTON, PLUS 1¼ MILES OFF ROUTE
Ribblehead is about halfway along the Dales Way, and some who are walking the route in stages can walk 1½ miles south-west along the B6255 road to Ribblehead rail station (see below).
For those walking the Ribble Way, use of the station will be of more use after reaching the source of the Ribble, just 4½ miles off where the Way crosses the B6255. Ribblehead Map.
