47½ MILES ALONG THE DALES WAY FROM ILKLEY
Dent is a lovely little village, and has those
important facilities required after a good day walking the Dales Way: accommodation and pubs serving food. It also has a camping shop. Confusingly, Dent rail station is actually four miles away in Cowgill, which you will have passed earlier on the walk.

Public Transport
Dent Rail Station is located in Cowgill (not Dent), and is roughly ¾ mile off the Dales Way. Turn right at the junction ¾ mile past the Sportsman’s Inn [MAP].
Bus Services are not very frequent, but they connect to two other places on the Dales Way: Dent and Sedbergh
